Tenerife is the largest island in the Canaries and Mount Teide is the highest mountain in Spain. The view from Teide’s peak on a clear day is breathtaking, as well as seeing for miles you can see the different types and colours in the volcanic rock and the plants growing there.
The climate is not always the same around the island of Tenerife, the northern coast has more cliffs and rugged terrain whereas the south side slopes down into the clear crystal waters. But most places on the island are quite hot and sunny, which is great for lazing on the many beaches around the island. If you prefer to explore then why not try some walking, cycling or the trip to the top of Mount Teide.
