Zante, also called Zakynthos, is the third largest of the Ionian Islands and is about 40km in length and 20km wide. It has a varied terrain, with fertile plains in the southeastern part and mountainous terrain with steep cliffs along the coasts on the west.
There are dozens of beaches to choose from, sandy and sheltered with clear sparkling water, including a beautiful one near Keri with a length of a 100 m surrounded by cliffs. Activities include watersports, like windsurfing, snorkling and diving, and also cycling and boat trips around the island.
There are plenty of sights to see on Zante, there are the 'Blue Caves' or the beautiful 'Shipwreck' beach to visit, or even just a shopping trip to Zante Town where there are many boutiques and shops selling local leather items.
